May Hsin had her first parking refresher lesson with her dad 2 days ago. Armed with her late grandma's tongkat (walking stick), they practiced at the nearby car park. Her dad placed the tongkat at the corner of the parking lot and with a few basic instructions, MH tried to park the car. After several tries, the car either ended up too near the tongkat or too far from the tongkat. Her dad tried demonstrating it to her, but she still didn't get it.
Dad: When you see the tongkat at the left passenger window, you stop the car and turn the steering wheel.
MH: Turn how much?
Dad: ..... Don't know lah, just feel, look, estimate and turn lor.... I can't tell you turn how much.
After another few frustrating attempts, dad's face turned black and tired.
Dad: Ok, ok...we'll do this another day...

Hi ann, thanks for sharing your thots on this, agree with your last statement...Roger's response, after going thru costly driving lessons, is that we pay to have skill but it always saves to be safe. =P
