To my dearest sister and comrade in Christ,
And you will be wedded tomorrow. I wish I could be there.
Could we have ever imagined our lives to be what it is today, a decade ago?
A decade ago, when we were bright-eyed freshmen in NUS?
Fruitful years of growing in VCF, learning, serving and crying (the crying bit, definitely more me than you)
These were followed by the years of being newbies in the workforce,
Struggling to prioritise our life so that we have time for God, for ministry, for GM2.
Remembered how we held hands and sang 'Declare His Glory' again one JM?
How different it felt when we were singing it as working adults as compared to undergraduates.
Yet, how richer the conviction became because of the struggles we faced when we started working.
Yes, could we have ever imagined, our lives to be what it is today?
My heart sings with joy to know that a like-minded brother-in-Christ will be taking your hand at the altar tomorrow.
Really wish I could be there tomorrow.
I'm ever so thankful to God for His grace to us, for blessing me with your fellowship.
Press on dear sis, for His glory.
blessed,
mayhsin.

Signs that we're getting the hang of living in Sydney
- We don't need to 'study' the Aussie dollar notes and coins before we pay for what we are buying
- Banking administrative delays do not surprise us anymore
- We can mentally visualise locations mentioned over radio traffic updates
- We automatically swipe our own cards in the eftpos (NETS in S'pore terms) machine instead of handing it to the cashier
- May Hsin says 'Good on you, mate!' to praise Charis for doing something well
However, whenever we think of bah chor mee, we know that this is still a long way from home. =P

Play date with Phoebe
There's a lovely private playground near where the Fongs live. It has swings, a sand pit, slides, a big field and 2 trampolines!
Here are some pics of Charis' play date with Phoebe and the fun she had on swings on Phoebe's birthday bash!
Checking to see if I'm still there
Looking at Auntie Mei
Phoebe's so sweet! She gave Charis a hug!
Going solo
Delighted on Swing

Sharing the joy
Getting to know us...
The church where we are now at has a blog that features people and events. Since we're the newbies, we had to do an email interview about who we are, etc...

Gelato!
One Saturday afternoon...
The weather....rainy on one side, sunny on the other...

Our destination...
(At this juncture, please imagine us eating gelato. We should have posted some photos of us eating gelato, but we were too busy eating to actually remember to take photos. =P)

Auntie Jul...can you buy me a gelato prease????

Hmm...when is the rain going to stop?

On way home....
And what have we been up to?
It's been some time since we've updated the blog. Lots have happened after May Hsin's mother left. We had a family stay at our place for about a week because of some unfortunate situations, Roger went for his college missions at Moorebank, and the latest guest we have now is another friend from church who has found work here.
Autumn's here.
